DISPATCH 01-01-12 LOS ANGELES
01-02-122250 hrs. To be honest, I am not looking forward to the week. Not looking forward to getting up early and dealing with the world. I could use one more day! Nothing to be done about it. On Monday, the whole thing comes roaring back to life and soon, I will be out the door and on tour.
I hope you enjoyed your holiday season, if you had one. I got a lot of work done but not all that I needed to do. With the shows starting soon, it was hard to concentrate on anything except preparing for tour. I started packing last week.
Before a tour starts, that’s about all that I can think of, so I am not good for much else. I am looking forward to getting this one going. I leave for England soon.
The Dinosaur Jr. shows were great and it was a lucky break for me to get to see them so many times last year. I don’t know what their tour plans are for this year but I will make all the shows I can. I don’t know how many shows I will be getting besides my own though.
I am sorry that I skipped a week of this here and there. This year will be eventful but I will stay up on it as best I can.
A few days ago, we made some pre-taped shows for KCRW, they came out pretty good. We will be live for the last time for about a month and a half this coming Saturday.
I am restless and distracted and not good for adding anything of interest here. I am waiting to get out on the road and the next few days are neither off the road or on it—they are waiting around and it makes me crazy. I’ll be better next week when I am about to hit the road.
2011 was one of the fastest years, I can’t believe it is behind us. This year is going to be interesting on a lot of levels. I can’t wait to get into it.
