Fanatics! Saturday night means radio time! Last week, I left off the DEVO track I wanted to play you as I ran out of time. Since then, I got my copy of the newly remastered version of the 1st DEVO album and it’s really something. Very clear and punchy without the noise of the original CD from many years ago. More like the vinyl, which is always a good thing. New Hawnay Troof album, amazing. We’ll get more into that one as the weeks go on. I threw into the mix a couple of tracks that I suspect I have brought in before, that would be the live Jane’s track as well as the live Birthday Party track. I had not heard them in a long time and thought we should check them out again. Jane’s Addiction got back together recently and played here in Los Angeles. I was on tour but was told that it was really great. Eric Avery back on bass? Very interesting. I am really liking this Zomes album by Asa Osbourne of Lungfish and Pupils fame. If you liked what you heard tonight, you will like the rest of the album. I have yet to explore the Testa Rossa Monitor Mixes of The Fall’s The Unutterable album besides the one track we played tonight but I will check it out over the weekend and report back with all the relevant information. Perhaps Dan Trice will have some info to spare. Engineer X and I have already made next week’s show and it’s a great one so please listen if you can. It’s 0756 hrs.
