Hello y’all! I am in steaming New Orleans LA. I have a show here on Wednesday night and a couple of days of filming for the last of the three IFC live specials set to air later in the year. When I walk on the streets I am passed by endless groups of men in cargo shorts, baseball caps and sunglasses. I have been here many times for shows but never really thought of the place as somewhere to go on a holiday. To pay respect to the great state of Louisiana, we will listen to some of the many fine musicians that have come from there as well as some songs that address things that are inherently Louisiananesque. This was one of the more fun broadcasts to assemble. I like working with concepts and this was a good one. There are probably some artists that I left off that will make you wonder why but hopefully I hit more than I missed and you will like the show. I really like New Orleans. I have done a lot of shows here from Black Flag to only a few months ago. I think it’s a national treasure and that Bush should have taken more care with rescue and reconstruction. America would be very bland without this place. It’s good to be back here and it’s great to see people on the streets. People here have been through so much and they’re still hanging in there. So, tonight, we celbrate the incredible music from the great state of LA and some of the many musicians it has inspired. Thanks for listening and STAY FANATIC!!! --Henry
