BROADCAST #34
AIR DATE: 08-19-08

Hello Fanatics! I am so happy to be back at the Edinburgh Festival here in Edinburgh Scotland. Last year I did 4 shows here and this year they have kindly allowed me to do 7 so I am moving up in the world. I had such a great time here last year. I asked if I could come back this year and it all worked out and here I am. At the time I am writing this, it’s Sunday night here, almost midnight. I start here tomorrow night. Tonight was my first night off in 8 shows and while I can’t say that I really needed it, it was great just walking around here earlier tonight. So, Fanatics, what do we have for tonight’s show? It’s one killer track after another is what it is. I actually put this set together while I was SE Asia many weeks ago, knowing I was going to be here. As you know, Engineer X and I have been stacking up shows for quite some time due to my touring schedule. I will be back soon and we will be back with you live for a few broadcasts and then I will be out again for a little while and then I will be back and I can tell you now, even though it’s months away, that next year’s shows are going to be some of the bestest broadcasts we have ever done. I have been stockpiling music like a crazy man and will be putting together some serious tracks for later this year and into next so get ready. I will be off the road in early November after the election and will have more time to drag rare stuff off vinyl, etc. I have been out here for weeks with Road Manager Ward who knows a thing or two about music and he has been turning me onto some really cool stuff so I will have all of that to bring in so the shows will have all kinds of twists and turns to navigate. Now, what we have tonight is a lot of stuff that many of you Fanatics are well familiar with and some things that might be a little new to you, I think you will like some of the more unfamiliar stuff. I think it’s good to use the summer months to make some good mixes of stuff we can just enjoy and get ready to do some serious work when the leaves start to turn color. I’ve got my window open right now, there’s a band playing in the street, it’s cool to lightly cold outside and all I can say is I hope it stays this way because fall can’t some soon enough for me. Enjoy the show tonight and STAY FANATIC!!! --Henry
