Fanatics, many years ago, in the wonderful city of Chicago, I heard tonight’s first track. I had no idea who it was and ever since, wanted to hear the song again. Several days ago, I typed some of the lyrics I remembered into my browser and tracked down the song. I don’t know anything about this guy and this song is definitely out there but out there is here as far as we’re concerned. Maggie from Kill Rockstars was kind enough to send down a copy of the new Deerhoof album Offend Maggie along with permission to play a track from it so we’ve got that going for us. I believe it comes out on October 10th. I know what you’re thinking, why Henry, why more Raven? I thought you liked us. Well, of course I do. I just noticed a lack of feedback about the last Raven track we listened to so I went out and got the remastered version of the All For One album and tonight, you are again inflicted with another dose of their particular brand of music. A few of tonight’s artists are making their Harmony In My Head debut. I spent a good part of last weekend overdosing on Fushitsusha’s live albums and thought I would bring some of that on and there some others, like Ersen, that I don’t know much about but liking quite a bit. Things are changing around at Indie 103 and our show will be moving to Saturday nights, 8-10 pm. The last Tuesday night show is next week and after that, it’s Saturday October 4th and onwards from there. So, we are the big Saturday night show! We’ll see what weekend people have to say about what we Fanatics are into. Otherwise, I hope you enjoyed tonight’s selection. Please tune in next week if you can, I think you will enjoy our set.
