Fanatic! Happy April, if there is such a thing.

I thought you might enjoy watching this interview with Miriam Linna. Miriam was the drummer in the Cramps before the arrival of Nick Knox. She was in the band approximately from the summer of 1976 to the summer of 1977. She owns and operates the excellent reissue label Norton Records in New York. She’s about as serious a music Fanatic as you can get and her story is completely cool. I thought her interview was super inspiring.

Tonight’s show is what you’ll hopefully find to be exceptional April listening. What defines that description? Songs that reflect an increase in temperature, more rain than snow and a subtle nod to the summer to come. I know, it begs the question, “Why don’t you just take a bunch of good songs and put them on?” in a way, that’s exactly what we’re at least attempting to do. But I think there’s something to be said for seasonal listening. Songs selected and ordered in conjunction with temperature and light cycle change. Anyway, maybe tonight’s selections check all of those boxes anyway. Please listen to see if we got it right. Next week’s show is nearing completion and we shall faithfully report to you at this time next week. Until then, have a great night of listening and STAY FANATIC!!!
